Gabriella Laberge stuns ‘AGT’ judges with violin and angelic voice

For many aspiring performers, appearing on America’s Got Talent is a life-changing opportunity.

The show has become one of the world’s most popular talent competitions, giving singers, dancers, and performers from all walks of life a chance to share their abilities with millions of viewers.

Over the years, it has launched the careers of numerous artists who began as unknown talents and quickly captured global attention.

In one memorable audition, audiences were introduced to Gabriella Laberge, a French-Canadian musician from Quebec.

While she may have been new to many American viewers, fans of Eurovision-style competitions already recognized her name.

Gabriella previously appeared in Destination Eurovision in 2019, where she showcased her musical talent and gained a dedicated following.

Before stepping onto the AGT stage, Gabriella spoke about how meaningful the opportunity was for her.

In a short video clip shown before her audition, she explained that music had always been her passion and that performing on such a large stage meant everything to her.

“This is the opportunity of my life,” she said sincerely. “My dream is to make music for the rest of my life.”

When Gabriella finally walked onto the stage, she carried a violin, which immediately caught the judges’ attention.

Rather than starting with a vocal performance like many contestants do, she began her audition with a gentle instrumental piece. Standing calmly under the spotlight, she played a soft violin melody that filled the theater with a delicate and emotional sound.

The judges watched closely as the performance unfolded. Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara, and Heidi Klum seemed captivated by her graceful playing.

However, Simon Cowell looked less convinced at first. Known for his honest and sometimes harsh critiques, Cowell appeared unsure about the performance.

At one point, viewers noticed his hand hovering over the red buzzer, the button judges use to stop an act they believe isn’t strong enough.

For a brief moment, it seemed possible that Gabriella’s audition might end before it truly began.

But Gabriella had a surprise planned.

Just as the tension grew, she smoothly transitioned from playing the violin to singing.

Her voice entered the performance with the opening lines of Goodbye My Lover, the emotional ballad by James Blunt.

The change in the atmosphere was immediate. Gabriella’s voice was soft yet powerful, filled with emotion and control. The audience quickly realized that the performance was building into something truly special.

Simon Cowell’s reaction changed instantly. As soon as Gabriella began singing, he pulled his hand away from the buzzer and leaned forward, clearly impressed.

The judges exchanged surprised looks as her performance continued to grow stronger.

Combining her violin accompaniment with heartfelt vocals, Gabriella delivered a moving interpretation of the song that captivated the entire room.

Her performance showcased not only her musical skill but also her ability to connect emotionally with the audience.

When she finished the final note, the audience erupted into applause. All four judges stood up, giving her a standing ovation.

Even Simon Cowell joined in the applause, signaling that the performance had truly won him over.
