Mystery resolved
Within a day, the author provided an update, informing fellow Redditors that through a process of elimination, the tail-like object was not from a lizard, a possum, or an armadillo – nor was it a “tampon pull string.”
“After receiving a flood of comments suggesting it’s a rat’s tail, I can now confirm that it indeed is a rat’s tail…I’ll be reaching out to an exterminator shortly to handle the matter properly.
Thank you all!” the intrigued cyber fan shared, adding, “Someone in the comments mentioned, ‘When there is one, there is a hundred you can’t see.’ Oh, I really hope that’s not the case.”
